On Tuesday, December 26, 2023, from 5 to 9 p.m., the Equity Council Corp. is hosting its annual Kwanzaa Celebration! Enjoy food, drumming, special dance and musical performances, and support black-owned businesses by shopping at the SOKO Marketplace.

About the event
On Tuesday, December 26, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., The Equity Council Corp. is hosting its annual Kwanzaa Celebration in Winter Park, FL. Enjoy good food provided by Kale Cafe: Juice Bar and Vegan Cuisine, located in Daytona Beach, FL., drumming by Tam Tam Alifa African Drummers, and dancing by Winter Park's Kwanzaa Community Dancers, presented by guest choreographer Sangobunmi, and musical performances from recording artist Dockta Dre from Deeply Rooted, followed by a special fundraising performance for children traveling internationally with Creative Global Schools directed by Tamika Love Jones. Also, in the spirit of cooperative economics, support black-owned businesses at the event through the SOKO Marketplace. This year's celebration will focus on the Kwanzaa principle of Umoja (Unity), and we will commence our Kwanzaa celebration with the lighting of the Black Candle!
